What is Pet Bereavement Counselling?

A Pet Bereavement Counsellor is someone who specialises in pet loss and has specific knowledge, understanding and experience supporting pet owners pre, during and post the loss of a companion animal.

What a Pet Bereavement Counsellor offers

  • Access at short notice when you need it most
  • A two-way informal relationship in which the counsellor listens in confidence and in a non-judgemental way.
  • Help you address your feelings, and guide you in a more positive way forward through your grief.
  • Our Accredited members can help advise on practical aspects of pet bereavement, such as aftercare options and memorials.
  • Providing support for pet owners before, during and after the death of their pet.
  • Support for as long as you need it.

Our Accredited Counsellors

Our accredited counsellors will reassure, validate and support you, as you grieve the loss of your companion animal. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have, including but not restricted to -
